About Pastor Brad

The son of a Pastor, Pastor Brad Heintz was born in Cambridge, England in 1966.  He grew up in Michigan, and in 1988 graduated from Concordia College in Ann Arbor, earning his BA degree.  He attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo., graduating in 1992 with his Masters of Divinity.  He also participated in an overseas study program in London, England and Seoul, Korea. 

Pastor Brad’s fifteen years of pastoral service with congregations in New Jersey, Louisiana and Texas have inspired him to found the Living Word Church of the Bay Area.  For seven and half years, Pastor Brad served as the Director of Discipleship Ministries at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Nassau Bay, Texas, where he lead, supervised and coordinated discipleship and spiritual formation efforts (small groups and relationship clusters.) Specific areas of ministries included pastoral care, health, marriage and singles ministries.    As a dynamic preacher who loves to lead people into Living Word, he loves spiritually feeding those who gather for worship and study.

Pastor Brad met his wife, Cindy, while serving as Pastor in Shreveport, Louisiana, and they were married July 4, 1994.  They have two daughters, Ella,  9 years old and Lilli, 7 years old.   For recreation Pastor Brad and Cindy enjoy working in the yard, water sports and playing with their two daughters.  Pastor Brad also enjoys using his creativity making pottery.

Pastor Brad’s vision as Founder of the Living Word Church is to create a new faith community in Bay Area Houston, striving to “grow” people, transform households and reach neighbors with the Living Word of God through faith in Jesus Christ.  Join us and make a difference!
